Neeraj Amarnani

Profile & History

Dr. Amarnani is a PhD in Management (DD University, Nadiad, Gujarat) and an MBA in Finance (B.K.School of Business Management, Gujarat University). He has over twenty-four years of corporate and academic experience, beginning with a few years in the financial services sector with Gujarat Gas Company Ltd. 
Currently the Dean (Academics) at GIM, he has previously helmed a number of academic responsibilities such as Chairperson - PGDM program, Co-ordinator - Curriculum Review Committee, Co-ordinator - PGDM BFSI program launch.
Just prior to joining Goa Institute of Management, he had an eight-year tenure at Institute of Management, Nirma University, where he twice chaired the Nirma International Conference on Management (2010 & 2014). Before that, he worked with Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (MICA), as faculty and Chief Project Leader of the Entrepreneurship Development Centre, where he was responsible for conceptualising and initiating the activities of the centre.
Dr. Amarnani's research interests are mainly in fintech, behavioural finance and investments. He has published papers in international and national journals, co-edited four books and has also contributed papers to international seminars. His paper at the Nirma International Conference on Management, 2007 was awarded the Best Paper in Finance and his case study was awarded a ‘Certificate of Excellence' at the Case Chase 2005 competition held by Society of Entrepreneurship Education at Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. He was also a researcher for the prestigious European Union - India Cross Cultural Innovation Network Project (1999-2002).
