10. Student Feedback Mechanism :  There is a Faculty Committee; Area Committee; 
      Student Advisory Committee etc, that participate in our Institute’s affairs.
      Feedback from the students is taken after two weeks of the beginning of a course
      and at the end of the course. The Director discusses with the individual faculty the
      feedback obtained from the students.

    1st Year of approval bu council : 1994

    Duration : Three Years Class interaction will be for two years while the independent project work will spread to the third year.  Classes generally on weekends (Saturdays: 2:30 pm to 8:00 pm; Sundays: 8:30 am to 6:30 pm).There may be some alterations in the class timings especially during the second year, when students with few exceptions attend only the sessions of the electives of their choice.

    Eligibility : (a) Minimum 50% marks in a three-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline, recognized by the UGC/AICTE/AIU as eligible for postgraduate studies in management; and (b) full time work experience of at least three years in an executive/supervisory position after graduation.

    Accreditation Status:  Accreditation of three years received on January 16, 2007.  Application for renewal of accreditation is being prepared and submitted to AICTE.  Accreditation fee paid.

  • Foreign Collaborations :
    • Collaboration with the University of Antwerp & ongoing exchange programme.
    • Secondment of three students from GIM to Antwerp for one semester.
    • Secondment of one faculty from GIM to the University of Antwerp for a course on International Marketing and one faculty from the University of Antwerp to GIM for a course on International Marketing.
    • Secondment of 15 students from Antwerp to GIM to conduct a project study in various industries in Goa, jointly with some students of GIM and to present the report to the University of Antwerp.
    • Collaboration with the Fachhochschule Ingolstadt, Germany:An agreement has been reached to consider each other as an associate Institute with faculty and student exchange for one term. There is also an exchange of faculty in an agreed subject.
    • Faculty & Student exchange with the Universidade Catolica Portuguesa (MBA Catolica).

14. Admission Quota :  
  • PGDM-FULLTIME : Applicants admitted to GIM’s post graduate programme in business management course, 2011-12 took the admissions test of XLRI (Xavier Labour Relations Institute, Jamshedpur)  XAT held on 2nd January 2011 on http://www.xlri.edu; or ATMA of All India Management Schools (AIMS) held on December 19th, 2010 on www.atma-aims.org.
  • All the students who joined GIM were shortlisted for face to face evaluation process on the basis of the entrance test scores,  past academic performance and work experience.
  • The final selection was made on the basis of entrance test socres (50% weightage), the candidate’s past academic performance (10% weightage), performance in face to face evaluation process (30% weightage) and work experience (10% weightage).
  • For selection for the face to face evaluation process, the qualifying cut-off was lowered for candidates of Goan origin/domicile.  Documentary evidence of origin/domicile was required to be submitted to the Admissions Office at the time of application.

    • Batch 2009-11 : XAT 93.10 percentile (Sectional cutoff 60 percentile)
    • Batch 2010-12 : XAT 85.37 percentile

  • PGDM–PART-TIME : Applicants admitted  to GIM’s part time post graduate diploma in management course, 2011-13 took the admissions conducted by GIM under supervision of the Director of Technical Education, Government of Goa, held on June 19, 2011.  Applicants were shortlisted for face to face evaluation process on the basis of the entrance test scores, past academic performance and work experience.

  • Fee in Rupees : Details of fee as approved by State Fee Committee, for the Institution for the batch of 2010 and 2011.
